Fallout New Vegas is a role-playing game in the Fallout video game series, and is the fourth major installment to the franchise. The game was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and was published by Bethesda Softworks in October 2010 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Downloadable content and repackaged editions have followed until 2012. Fallout New Vegas was released in North America on October 19th 2010, Australia on October 21st 2010, Europe on October 22nd 2010 and Japan 4th of November 2010.

The game is based in a post-apocalyptic world situated within the areas of Nevada, California and Arizona. The player takes control of a character only known as The Courier, who has been hired by the Mojave Express, a delivery company based in the Nevada desert, to deliver a unknown package to the New Vegas Strip. The Courier's delivery is interrupted by a mysterious man who ends up killing the player with a shot to the head as well as stealing the mysterious package. After having been dumped in a shallow grave, the player is found by a friendly local robot named Victor. The Courier is taken to the small town of Goodsprings to be healed by a man named Doc Mitchell.
